The Problem
WellDay had a strong vision for a wellness app that could serve both individual users and corporate wellness programmes, but no technical team to build it. They needed a cross-platform solution to reach users on both iOS and Android without the cost of maintaining two separate apps. The app needed AI-powered coaching that felt personal but stayed within appropriate boundaries, real-time communication between coaches and users, and a way to monetise through subscriptions and enterprise contracts.
Our Solution
We built the app using a cross-platform framework that shares the vast majority of code between iOS and Android, with cloud-based builds and over-the-air updates for rapid iteration. The AI coaching engine uses large language models with streaming responses and carefully designed safety guardrails. Real-time chat supports text, images, and AI responses with full offline capability.
For enterprise clients, we built a separate web dashboard where HR teams can onboard employees, track engagement, create wellness challenges, and manage billing — all with privacy-preserving analytics.
The Outcome
WellDay launched on both stores within the timeline, with excellent stability and performance. The AI coaching feature became the app's main differentiator, driving significantly higher user retention compared to competitors. The B2B dashboard now serves multiple corporate clients, and that enterprise channel has become the stronger revenue stream.
We took WellDay from idea to live on both the App Store and Google Play, building a cross-platform app with AI-powered features and a B2B enterprise offering.
